All hotels are located on the shore of the magnificent lake in the pine forests. We do walking tours where necessary. Enjoy the wild nature of Karelia which is picturesque in any weather. The group size is limited to 12 travelers.

The tour starts in St. Petersburg, which is located in 70 km from Lake Ladoga, the source of the Neva River. You will see the most picturesque locations on the lake filled with history. Village of Old Ladoga on Volkhov river, town of Lodeynoe Pole on Svir river, Pitkaranta, Sortavala and Priozersk on Lake Ladoga, mining park Ruskeala, Ahvenkoski waterfalls and moto-racng circuit "Igora".

Our route: St. Petersburg-Old Ladoga-Lodeynoe Pole-Sortavala-Priozersk-St.Petersburg. We drive around the lake upwards from the East to the West and return to St. Petersburg. We start on Sunday from Belmond Grand Hotel Europe and return here on Friday at 19:00 in 5 days. Difficulty: Easy

Maximum duration of transfers between locations is 3 hours. Maximum duration of walking tours does not exceed 3 hours. We guarantee maximum level of comfort. All departures are no earlier 10am (except the first day). You will have enough time for a stroll in the forest before dinner and on the next morning before departure. You will appreciate the level of hotels that we offer!

Day One, Sunday

We start from St. Petersburg at 09:00 and in 90 minutes will find ourselves in Old Ladoga settlement on Volkhov river. Tour of the first fortress of ancient Rus, founded by Ryurik in 753. We will learn more about generation of Russian statehood, who were RUS people and where they came from. Lunch in a restaurant next to the fortress. Drive to the town of Lodeynoe Pole. We stay outside of the town on the bank of river Svir in design hotel "Point on the Map. Lodeyonoe Pole". Dinner at hotel on own.

Day Two, Monday

Breakfast. Visit the monastery of Alexander Svirsky in 26 km and drive to town of Sortavala. Stop in Pitkaranta in the picturesque bay for Karelian lunch. Walking tour of Sortavala, filled with dramas, history of Finnish architecture. History of Russian Serdobol. Drive to the hotel "Point on the Map. Sortavala" located in the pine forest on breathtaking small lake Pyuralampi with little waterfalls and creeks. Dinner on own in a self-service but good cafe on the territory of the hotel. 15-minute walk along the eco-path. The path is well lit. There are fully equipped grill huts on the lake available for rent.

Day Three, Tuesday

Breakfast and free time until 11:00. Drive to Ruskeala mining park (20 min). Walking tour of Ruskeala - picturesque manmade canyons and lakes where they extracted marble for palaces of St. Petersburg in the past. Tour of the underground Ruskeala - kilometers of flooded mines and illiminated caves. Drive to nearby waterfalls called Ahvenkoski. A scary stroll along the hanging bridges above the streams. Return to hotel. Dinner is on your own in the cozy cafe in the forest.

Day Four, Wednesday

Breakfast and free time until 10:00. Private tour to the mansion of Gustav Winter - famous surgeon. A stroll in the arboretum in Taruniemi park. Lunch on your own in the hotel's restaurant on the lake. Drive to Priosersk, former Keksholm. Short tour of the fortress Korela and the grave of Ryurik, founder of Russian state. Drive to the hotel "Point on the Map. Priozesk". Another design hotel with two-storey units scattered in the pine forest on the Ladoga sandy shores. A stroll along the shore and welcome glass of sparkling in the modern Wine Bar on the beach. Dinner on own in a separately standing restaurant with a view. There are fully equipped grill huts for 10 people on the beach for rent. Best place for a morning walk along the sandy beach.

Day Five, Thursday

Breakfast and free time until 11:00. Return to St. Petersburg with a stop at motor racing circuit "Igora-Drive". Exclusive tour of the museum of retro-cars followed by lunch on own at Igora's best restaurant. Arrival to St. Petersburg approximately at 19:00.
