The tour starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday in Sheremetevo airport (SVO). Duration of the tour is 9 days / 8 nights. All Covid19 restrictions in Uzbekistan are removed. ATM mashines exchange US dollars for local currency. Cash US dollars can be exchanged for local currency at better rate.
Difficulty of the tour:
This tour does not require any special preparation - just normal ability to walk. There are no steep climbings but there are stairs in the parks, subways and museums. The duration of walking tours does not exceed 3 hours. There is always a free time for independent exploration or rest before dinner.

Day One: Sunday. Moscow-Tashkent

Our flight SU1870 from Moscow to Tashkent lands at 01:45 in the night. Time difference with Moscow is +2 hours. Transfer to hotel Qoushbegi Plaza, check-in and rest. Free time after breakfast. Meet your guide at 11:am to start your first 4-hour tour of Tashkent with car and guide. Historical centre of old Tashkent including Khasti-Imom and madrasah Kukaldosh/ The tour ends at the famous bazaar Chor-Su. Return to the hotel or free time in the city centre. Your guide will help you to exchange money for local currency and recommend nice place for dinner.

Day Two: Monday. Tashkent.

09:00-12:00AM Tour of new Tashkent with car & guide. History of the catastrophical eathquake of 1966 and the monument. Explore beautiful square named after Amir Temur, national hero of Uzbekistan, known in Europe as Tamerlane. Visit the museum of applied art which has a lot of beaitiful pieces of national art. See the Hunter's palace of Grand Duke Nicholas Romanov, exiled to Turkestan by Nicholas I for his sins. He made a lot for the development of the city. Taste Tashkent version of national dish - plov in the Center of Plov. Plov is cooked here every day in giant quantities nearly 3000 portions a day. Free time until transfer to the airport. Short flight to Ugrench at 20:25 (01:30 travel time). Transfer to Khiva and overnight in the national hotel located in the heart of the old city Ichan-Kala.

Day Three: Tuesday, Khiva

09:00-12:00 Walking tour of the "inner town" Ichan-Kala. It was built as a rectangle with four massive gates. The overall length of the fortress walls is 2200 metres. The territory of Ichan-Kala is listed as UNESCO World Heritage. There are nearly 60 historical monuments here. We will visit the residence of the last ruler (khan) including the mausoleum of Ismail-Khodji, the madrasah of Muhhamed Amin Khan and citadel Kunya-Ark, Kalta-Minor Tower and Tash-Khovli palace. We will aslo see the famous mausoleum of Pakhlavan-Makhmud and Djuma Mosk. Lunch at the nation house. Free time.

Day Four: Wednesday. Khiva-Bukhara

Today we will drive nearly 450 kilometres from Khiva to Bukhara through the desert of Kyzylkum along the former caravan road which was a part of the Great Silk Road in the past. We will cross the wide Amu-Darya river, the second longest river of the country , nearly 1500 km long. This full-flowing river carries its muddy waters to the Aral Sea but the water does not reach the Aral because on the way it is mostly spent on irrigation. That's the reason the Aral Sea is almost waterless. After Amu-Darya the oasis of Khorezm quickly transforms into a real desert. Travel time is approximately 7 hours including few stop for pictures and lunch. In the evening we check-in at the hotel "Komil" - the reconstructed typical house of Bukhara jew. Tonight we will have dinner and national dancing show under the open air in madrasah Nodir Devon-Begi.

Day Five: Thursday. Bukhara

After breakfast in beautifully decorated room we start 3-hour walking tour of the old town. Historical centre of Bukhara is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. We will visit Laby-Houz complex around ancient water reservoir with 500-years old plane tree and will admire the funny monument to the national hero Khodja Nassreddin. We will see the magnificent Magoki-Attor Mosk and Madrasah Chor-Minor with four beautiful minarets - the best postcard of Bukhara. You may stop for a snack in the cozy yard of the Caravan Saray restaurant. Afternoon is free for independent exploration or rest. We advise to visit the summer residence of the Emir of Bukhara "Sitorai Mokhi Khosa" - 20 minutes by taxi. We recommend dinner in the "Old Bukhara" restaurant in 10-minute walk from the hotel. There are tables in the yard under traditional wooden carved canopy - "ayvan".

Day Six: Friday. Buhara-Samarkand

09:00 We continue to explore old Buhara. We start with visit to the Merchant's bazar cupolas, medreses of Ulug-bek and Abdulaziz-khan, picturesque squares around minaret Kalyan. In the end of the tour we will visit the powerful fortress Arc and mausoleum of Samanids. Lunch is served in the national guest house. We try the most dietic version of plov - born in Buhara. Free time until deprture to the railway station in Kagan - the suburb of Bukhara. The ruler of Bukhara was rather afraid of the "newly invented" railway and therefore told to build the station in 15 km from the capital. 16:08-18:34 High-speed train to Samarkand. Travel time is 2:26. Transfer to hotel and check-in. Even if you are tired, by all means you need to see illuminated Registan! Nearby you will find a couple of restaurants for dinner serving "shashlyks" made of beef or lamb on skewers. Do no be afraid - the meat is always of excellent quality!

Day Seven, Saturday. Samarkand

09:00 4-hour tour with car & guide will take you to the astronomic observatory of Ulug-Bek, the ruler of Samarkand and great medieval scientist. We will also visit the magnificent complex of medieval mausoleums Shokhi-Zinda including the sepulchre of Tamerlane and his descendants. At lunch we will taste Samakrand version of plov. Walking tour of the main highlight - Registan square with 3 beaituful madrasahs and giant Bibi-Khanum mosk with a very romantic history. We will end the tour at the colorful Siab bazaar. In the evening we suggest you take a taxi to visit the Eternal City, newly built replica of the ancient town on the island surrounded by canals. This is an unprecedented project of Uzbekistan worth of 1,5 billion dollars! There are several national restaurants here where you may dine on your own.There is also an option to hire a private boat for 30 minutes to see the dancing and singing fountains.

Day Eight: Sunday. Samarkand

Farewell to Samarkand and Uzbekistan! Early morning transfer to Samarkand airport. Our flight SU1985 will take off for Moscow at 7:20AM and will land at 09:40AM at Sheremetevo airport. Ask for our best prices for selected Moscow hotels if you decide to prolong your stay in Moscow.
